In distribution network, power and energy losses can be reduced by using switched capacitor banks. The banks on or off based voltage profile factor timers. Due to variation of load, it is necessary control the switching in function load curve. This paper presents application an integer genetic algorithm determine optimal number corresponding with hourly minimize total active feeders. problem constraints include heat conditions which are taken into account objective a penalty function. this application, structure chromosomes set numbers connected grid. proposed formulation validated feeder. result shows that some cases, at maximum compensation greater than ones compensation, reaches higher level limit. reduce as well ensure within
